Cabinet to discuss key issues including Kancha Gachibowli

Hyderabad: The state cabinet, headed by chief minister A Revanth Reddy, is likely to meet by May-end to discuss important issues, including . the Kancha Gachibowli land issue in the wake of the Supreme Court order, programmes to be planned for the upcoming Telangana State Formation Day on June 2, the financial position, the status of implementation of welfare schemes, and other matters that need to be addressed.A discussion on the fire accident that claimed 17 lives at Gulzar Houz near Charminar in the Old City would be a top priority on the agenda. Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka would hold a review meeting with officials from fire, police, medical and health, GHMC, revenue, and other concerned departments this week. A report from this meeting is likely to be presented to the cabinet for a policy decision to prevent future fire accidents.Sources said the cabinet might also discuss the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA)'s final report on the Kaleshwaram project, the progress of the proposed Bharat Future City project, and the Regional Ring Road (RRR). Additionally, they would consider a proposed new consumer-friendly one billing system and one building approval permit in the entire core urban region within the Outer Ring Road limits. The cabinet would also address the current financial challenges the state was facing and how to overcome them.
