HYDERABAD: A 25-year-old cab driver was found dead under suspicious circumstances near a high tension pylon at Kushaiguda on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Srikanth from Kasturbai Nagar in Moula Ali. Srikanth left his residence on a bike at 6 am and within 30 minutes he was found dead on the road in front of a high tension tower near Kandiguda X roads.
"Srikanth had multiple fractures on his head, legs and hands. His throat was slit and a knife was found next to his body," Kushaiguda inspector K Venkat Reddy said.
A local, who was near the spot, told police that he saw Srikanth falling from the tower. "The slit throat and his missing bike raise suspicion. One possibility is that Srikanth might have slit his throat before jumping from the tower, but it is only an assumption," the inspector said.
The family members of Srikanth told police that he did not have any enemies. Police are trying to trace the missing Splendor bike of the victim.
A case was registered under section 174 (Suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
