HYDERABAD: A petty businessman was killed by his two friends following a row between them on a trivial issue at Ferozguda in Balanagar on Friday.
The deceased identified as K Laxmi Vara Prasad was found dead by his cook Govindrajulu, who came in the afternoon to attend to his work. He informed the matter to the neighbours who in turned alerted the police.
According to the Balanagar police, Prasad was staying with his friends — Chaitanya and Krishna at the Flat No.
1/11 in Pavani Apartments of Ferozguda in Balanagar. The trio hails from Krishna district. While Chaitanya and Krishna were working in a Coca Cola advertisement agency, Prasad was a petty businessman.
The police inquiries revealed that a heated argument ensued between trio over a trivial issue on Thursday night. Again the friends picked up a quarrel on Friday morning too. In a fit of rage, Krishna and Chaitanya throttled Prasad to death and fled away. Prasad was found dead in the house with bruise marks on his neck by the cook Govindrajulu.
“We suspect that Prasad might have been throttled to death by his two friends. The reasons behind this gruesome incident are yet to be ascertained,� Balanagar sub-inspector P Srinivas Reddy said.
The police shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital for post mortem and launched a hunt to nab the accused who are at large.
