Businessman killed by brother at Sheikpet Nala in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 40-year-old businessman was bludgeoned to death by his brother at Sheikpet Nala on Wednesday night.

Police said that property dispute was the reason for the murder.

. At 11.15 pm on Wednesday, Chinna spotted his brother standing on the road at Sheikpet Nala junction and picked up an argument with him over property related matter.

Chinna was under the influence of alcohol and he had an argument with Vijay about sharing the money the family would get from the sale of two storied building in Sheikpet. The brothers also had disputes about ancestral properties in other places, Golconda inspector

During the argument, there was a scuffle, Chinna picked up stick found on the road side and slammed on Vijay's head, killing him on the spot, Asif Nagar ACP Shiva Maruthi said.

Locals recorded the scene of crime in their cell phones and Chinna was seen standing near the body holding the stick in his hand for some time. Later he hurled the stick away and left the place. After committing the murder, Chinna went to

and police took him into custody on Wednesday. Police said that the dispute was about the two storied building in Sheikpet. "Vijay was claiming that the building belongs to him and Chinna was demanding an equal share in the property for all the siblings," the inspector said. .
