Venu from Saket Township in Kushaiguda, borrowed amount ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 5 lakhs from 15 of his relatives in one year. Till July 2013,
He collected nearly Rs 2 crore as his relatives fell for the high interest rate that he promised to pay.

When Venu expressed his inability to repay the money, some victims approached the police on Sunday. "The victims did not give a written complaint. So, no case was registered," inspector K Venkat Reddy said.
