HYDERABAD: A degree student died on Tuesday morning when a college bus rammed into his bike at Saroornagar.
The victim was identified as P Sai Kiran, 21, a second year student from Maruti Nagar near Dilsukhnagar. He was a student of Shiva Degree College in Kacheguda. The incident happened at around 7.40 am when Kiran was riding towards Saroornagar for some personal work.
When he reached Shiva Ganga cinema hall at Saroornagar, a RVR Institute of Engineering and Technology bus coming from the opposite direction hit his scooter.
Kiran fell on the road and came under the rear tyre of the bus and died on the spot, Saidabad sub-inspector (SI) K Ashok Kumar said.
Immediately after the accident, the bus driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot. A case was booked against the driver under section 304-A (Causing death due to rash or negligent act) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
