HYDERABAD: Burglars gained entry into three houses in Hayathnagar and escaped with Rs 12 lakh worth valuables on Tuesday night.
On Tuesday night, burglars sneaked into a two-storied house of a priest, Srinivasa Murthy, at RTC Colony in Hayathnagar. Srinivasa Murthy is a priest at Anjaneya Swamy temple in Kothapet and he keeps the temple jewellery at his house.

On Tuesday night, Murthy and his family members slept in the ground floor. Burglars gained entry into the first floor by opening the window grill and escaped with 23 tolas of gold, two kg silver, Rs 2.5 lakh cash kept in an iron safe.
Later, they broke into two locked houses in the same colony and stole 70 tolas of silver and Rs 23,000 cash.
Based on different complaints by the victims, police have booked a burglary case under section 457/380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). A Clues team lifted fingerprints from the houses.
