HYDERABAD: A B Tech student died and three of his classmates suffered injuries when a tipper rammed into their car near Kompally on Tuesday morning.
Sridhar Kumar, 19, B Tech first year student of Narasimha Reddy Engineering College in Mysammaguda died in the accident, while Ravi Kiran, Praneet and Shiva Shankar suffered injuries.
According to Petbasheerabad SI Khasimpeera, Ravi Kiran picked up his three friends from Kompally in his Maruti 800 to go to college.

After they reached Chermas store in Kompally, a tipper (AP 22 W 6795) rammed into their car from behind while trying to overtake them.
"The car got sandwiched between the front and rear wheels of the tipper. Four of them were rushed to a nearby hospital where Sridhar, who was sitting in the front seat, was declared brought dead," the SI said. Ravi Kiran suffered a fracture in his left leg and others suffered internal injuries, police said.
The tipper driver fled after the accident. Cases were slapped against him under section 304-A and 337 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
