BRS wanted to ally with CPI for Singareni workers: KTR
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday made it clear that there was no issue if an agreement was struck between the already allied Congress and CPI for administering Kothagudem Municipal Corporation.Speaking after participating in Sant Sevalal Jayanti celebrations at Telangana Bhavan, KTR reiterated that there were no issues with a partnership between Congress and CPI. He said that BRS wanted to collaborate with CPI for the benefit of Singareni workers, adding that they were unsure of the motivations or pressures that led the left party to join the alliance.
He also accused both Congress and BJP of exploiting the interests of Singareni workers."In hung municipalities, disruptions are being caused by Congress leaders, who are luring BRS corporators and councillors while intimidating them through police presence and goons sent to their homes. Despite these tactics, BRS corporators and councillors remain steadfast and undeterred," he claimed. The BRS leader asserted that their party intended to secure control of more municipalities across the state.Meanwhile, clarity emerged over the Kothagudem mayor post. Congress and CPI reached a consensus, deciding to share the positions of mayor and deputy mayor for two and a half years each. CPI would take on the mantle for the initial two and a half years. In the recent municipal elections, Congress alliance had won 23 divisions (Congress-22 and CPM-1) Kothagudem Municipal Corporation elections. CPI had secured 22 divisions, while BRS won 8, BJP captured 1, and Independents triumphed in 6 divisions. The election for mayor and deputy mayor would be held on Monday.

It’s OK Ramanna as the communist parties are known to tie up generally with the party in power like MIM and at a larger level in the country both Cong & communists are at least on paper part of India block. See how two other parties also supposedly part of India block the TMC & Communists contest against each other in WB. Democracy is funny as it’s a politics of fight among the friendsRead allPost comment
