A case has been filed against BRS leaders for allegedly attacking HYDRAA officials during an encroachment removal operation in Badangpet.

HYDERABAD: A case was registered against BRS leaders for attempting to attack HYDRAA officials at Badangpet of Meerpet police station on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Thursday.
The accused, Boyapalli Shekhar Reddy, ex-Corporator, Boyapalli Venkat Reddy, Boyapalli Manikanth, and their aides attacked Hydra Inspector Thirumalesh's team when the latter went to Badangpet to clear encroachments, the police said.
According to HYDRAA officials, they received complaints from locals about a box cricket court illegally constructed by the accused on govt land at Boyapalli Enclave in Badangpet.
When the HYDRAA team began clearing the encroachments, the accused picked up an argument with the team and later attacked them.
On a complaint from Tirumalesh, a case was registered against the accused at Meerpet police station, and the investigation is underway.
