BRS dubs notices to KCR as political vendetta
Hyderabad: BRS leaders on Thursday condemned the notices served on BRS supremo and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao by the special investigation team (SIT), stating it was a diversionary tactic by the Congress govt from its failures.BRS leaders, including working president KT Rama Rao and former minister and deputy leader T Harish Rao and several other MLAs and MLCs, said it was political vendetta by CM A Revanth Reddy. Some leaders and student wing leaders burnt the effigies of the CM at Agrasen Chowrasta and Osmania University soon after the notices were served on Thursday.
"KCR is a great leader who achieved Telangana through a long struggle with unwavering determination, whether it was life or death, and the people of Telangana will teach a lesson to Congress," KTR said."KCR is a visionary leader who has driven Telangana on the path of development with initiatives like the irrigation revolution, Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, and Dalit Bandhu, treating the state as his own child. The incompetent Congress govt, which came to power on false promises and lies, failed to fulfil the promises made within a year of coming to power, leaving the people disillusioned. Issuing notices to KCR under the pretence of investigations to cover up their failures and divert public attention from governance lapses is a prime example of malicious political vendetta," the BRS working president added."This is not an investigation... This is revenge. This is not justice... This is political malice," he said.BRS deputy leader Harish Rao said political conspiracies were being hatched by the Revanth Reddy govt against KCR. "Issuing notices under the guise of SIT to divert attention from the growing public discontent due to administrative incompetence and to shift focus from the Singareni coal scam is the pinnacle of Revanth Reddy's petty and cheap politics," he added.
