BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra slams Congress govt in Telangana over ‘unfulfilled promises’
Hyderabad: BJP national spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra on Tuesday slammed the Congress govt in Telangana, calling the guarantees mere paper promises. He accused Congress of deceiving women by not implementing any promises like providing 2,500 under Mahalakshmi, gold for married daughters under Kalyanalakshmi, free scooters for students over 18, and increased pensions for the elderly, disabled and single women. "While every household in the country built toilets and got drinking water under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance, the Congress govt in Telangana only offers deception," he added.Recalling that Rajiv Gandhi opposed OBC reservations in 1990, Patra stated that Congress has always had an anti-OBC mindset. Patra, speaking as the chief guest at ‘Mahila Jan Aakrosh Sabha' in Nalgonda, accused Congress leaders in Nalgonda district of being involved in crores of rupees worth of corruption in the rice mill business.
