BJP names candidate for MLC poll

Hyderabad: BJP named Venkata Narayana Reddy as its candidate for the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar MLC graduates constituency election which will be held on March 13. Since this is an election year, all parties, including BJP, are eager to woo the teaching community. Teachers’ quota elections have become highly competitive as private schools’ teachers are being allowed to vote for the first time in this polls. Since the election is taking place in an urban area, BJP is keen to win the seat. TNN
