BGL reduces domestic PNG & CNG prices

Hyderabad: Bhagyanagar Gas limited (BGL) has announced reduction in prices of CNG and domestic PNG. The announcement was made following the decision of the government for revising the methodology of domestically produced natural gas. BGL has reduced CNG prices by ₹4 per kg and domestic PNG has been cut to ₹2 per standard cubic metre across Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Kakinada. The new retail selling price for CNG is ₹96 per kg and ₹53 per standard cubic metre for domestic PNG. “This is an important step towards increasing natural gas share in the energy basket from 6% to 15%. Accordingly, BGL decided to reduce the prices of CNG and domestic PNG,” read an official statement. tnn
