HYDERABAD: Central Crime Station (CCS) police on Tuesday arrested a 21-year-old B Tech student who hacked into the account pertaining to Eamcet counselling of a friend to change her admission particulars.
Police arrested Sai Bharath, B Tech second year student of SSJ engineering college in Gandipet for logging into the account of his friend N Mani Deepika, 18, from Madhira in Khammam distsrict.

On October 3, Deepika lodged a complaint with the CCS police alleging that someone had logged into her Eamcet counselling account and changed her admission details from G Narayanamma Institute of Technology (GNIT) to another college following which she lost her seat at GNIT.Police registered a case under the IT Act.
During the course of investigation, they found that Sai Bharath, whose father runs a garments store at the building owned by Deepika's family in Madhira, committed the offense.
According to police, relations between Deepika's and Bharath's families was not cordial. When Bharath came to know that Deepika secured admission in a reputed college, he became envious and therefore wanted to scuttle the admission process. While Deepika was filling in her college particulars for her Emacet admission online, he noted her login ID and password.
Subsequently, he logged into the Eamcet counselling account of Deepika, cancelled her admission into GNIT and applied for admission into a less known college in Keesara. Consequently, Deepika lost her seat in GNIT. Police arrested Bharath and remanded him in judicial custody.
