Bandla held for cheating, handed over to AP cops

Hyderabad: Telugu film producer Bandla Ganesh was arrested by Banjara Hills police on Wednesday in connection with a non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued against him and handed over to AP police.

A court in Kadapa in AP issued the NBW against Ganesh a few days ago over a

cheating

case filed against him by a financier Prasad. As Ganesh had failed to appear in the court in Kadapa, the court issued the NBW and directed the Banjara Hills police to arrest him. Cops picked up Ganesh from his residence and handed him over to their AP counterparts.

Ganesh was embroiled in another controversy in the first week of October when YSRC leader and film producer Potluri Vara Prasad (PVP) filed a complaint accusing him of intimidating and defaulting on Rs 7 crore loan he had taken to produce ‘Temper’. Ganesh filed a counter-complaint alleging that Prasad had been threatening him and planned to kidnap him.
