HYDERABAD: In view of the widespread damage to life and property caused by the recent floods in
Telangana and
Andhra Pradesh, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance said it has put in place multiple measures to speed up the claims process.
The general insurer said it is actively conducting spot settlements through its network to ensure fast and efficient claim processing. In areas where spot settlement is not feasible due to various challenges, the company said it is providing on-account payments to ensure customers receive interim financial assistance so that repair work can start immediately.
For smaller claims, the insurer said it is conducting virtual video surveys to better assess the situation and expedite the settlement process. “This will allow the damages to be swiftly assessed, and the claims will be processed without delay, delivering faster assistance to customers,” the company said.
Bajaj Allianz said it has not only set up a dedicated helpline to facilitate customer queries but has also deployed specialised teams to expedite claims and is also proactively reaching out to customers in the affected regions to ensure their safety and prioritising their claims.
