Hyderabad: An Ayurveda doctor was nabbed by Task Force sleuths of Hyderabad police on Friday for allegedly peddling drugs. Sleuths recovered 53gm MDMA and 850gm of ketamine, all worth 12 lakh.
Police said Mohammed Shabeer Ali was planning to sell the drugs to patients who visit his clinic in Chandrayangutta. Two other accused, Kaku of Odisha and
Shiva of Chennai, are at large.
“Shabeer began searching online to purchase ketamine and MDMA. Shiva came in contact and introduced himself as a drug peddler,” cops said.
Shabeer transferred 30,000 and Shiva sent 53gm of MDMA through a courier. Police said Shiva had gone to Odisha’s Malkangiri, bought 850gm ketamine from Kaku. Shabeer completed Ayurvedic course in 2007 in Kolkata and shifted to city two years later.
