Attendants set civic official's car on fire

GUDUR: Annoyed by the "authoritative" attitude of municipal commissioner, his attendants set his car on fire here in the early hours of Thursday.
Police arrested the arsonists within one hour of the incident. According to municipal commissioner G Suseelamma, she bought a car only a fortnight ago and parked the vehicle in the office compound as there was no parking space at her residence.She said watchman D Karthik called her around midnight and informed her about the incident.
She said she rushed to the office with her son and other staff only to find two of her office staff members setting it on fire. Karthik and another attendant R Srinivas gave her contradictory replies and even argued with her. She said she called the local inspector over phone.
By the time police reached the spot, the duo escaped from the spot. However, the police nabbed them near bus station in the town.
