ASME to hold international mech enggs conclave in India for 1st time

Hyderabad: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is all set to conduct its flagship conclave, the International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (IMECE), in India for the first time. The event, which is the 29th edition and has been held 28 times in US since 1996, will be held in Hyderabad from September 10 to 13, 2025. The line-up of 400 speakers at IMECE India 2025 includes Bharat Forge Group chairman & managing director Baba Kalyani CSIR director general and DSIR secretary Dr N Kalaiselvi, AP MSME minister Srinivas Kondapally, Skyroot founder & CEO Pawan K Chandana, Airbus India VP Dr Jocelyn Gaudin, L&T senior VP Anil V Parab, RIL-Renewables CEO Ravinder Singh, among others.The event will bring together industry professionals, researchers, thought leaders, policymakers and students from across the globe to deliberate on the latest developments in science, technology and innovation.Over 1,500 delegates and 100 exhibitors are expected to participate in the first India edition of the conclave that is being conducted on the theme of sustainability, innovation and inclusivity and will see the presentation of over 650 research papers and technical presentations. Participants will delve into topics like cutting edge technologies and manufacturing processes to the integration of AI and robotics in mechanical systems, and from sustainable design practices to the role of mechanical engineering in addressing global societal challenges.
