HYDERABAD: Task Force sleuths of West Zone conducted raids on a brothel house being run in the guise of a massage centre at Road No 10, Banjara Hills, and arrested its organiser Kurian Tony Jacob on Friday. They also rescued a sex worker.
According to the Task Force deputy commissioner, Jacob, 29, came to Hyderabad about 10 years ago from Kerala in search of employment.
He completed diploma in cinematography from Pune Film Institute.
Jacob worked as an associate cameraman. In 2006 he spent Rs 45 lakh in producing Rajasekhar-starrer, ‘Aaptudu’, directed by Muthyala Subbaiah. As the film bombed at the box office, he suffered financial losses.
He decided to make quick money and make up for the losses by running a brothel in the guise of a massage centre. He took a house on rent at Banjara Hills. He brought sex workers from cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkatta and Mumbai. He lured his customers through newspaper advertisements, according to the police. The accused was handed over to the Banjara Hills police.
