HYDERABAD:
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday filed four chargesheets against the accused in Guntur court in a case related to derogatory posts on social media against judiciary and judges.
Chargheseets were filed against four accused - Dhani Reddy
Konda Reddy
,
Pamula Sudheer
, Adarsh Pattapu alias
Aadarsh Reddy
and Lavanuru Samba
Siva Reddy alias Siva Reddy.
On November 11 2020, CBI registered a case against 16 accused and took over the investigation of 12 FIRs from the Andhra Pradesh crime investigation department following the high court orders.
The original FIRs were registered on the complaints from the registrar general of AP HC. He alleged that the key personnel in the Andhra government intentionally targeted the Judiciary and made derogatory posts on social media platforms following specific verdicts. As a result, CBI got the objectionable posts removed from the social media platforms, public domains and accounts were closed down.
CBI arrested the accused in July and August in
Vijayawada
and Hyderabad. Earlier chargesheet was filed on September 2 against one of the accused.
