An ode to the flavours of Telangana
No talk about culture and heritage of a particular state are complete without the mention of its authentic scrumptious culinary delights. And what can be a better occasion to indulge in the best of Telangana food than on the state's third birthday celebration? Keeping that in mind the Telangana Tourism Department organised a food festival to celebrate the most prized cuisines of the state much to the delight of the foodies.

Held at Tourism Plaza near Hussain Sagar, the three-day festival boasts of stalls offering an array of lip-smacking cuisines raising from snacks such as pyalalu, murukulu, sarwapindi, garelu and atkulu to main course items including natu kodi kura, gatka, pachhi pulusu, tomato rice, biryani, haleem and pathar ka ghosht among the many.
While denizens thronged the festival to give their taste buds something to cheer on the occasion of the Statehood Day, even for those who are not from the state, it was an opportunity to taste the diversity of Telangana cuisines under one roof.
