AIYF holds rail roko

vijayawada: activists of all india youth federation (aiyf) affiliated to the communist party of india organised a rail-roko at the vijayawada railway station on saturday afternoon and held up the hyderabad-bound east coast express for about half-an-hour. the agitation was in protest against the hike in passenger fares as announced in the railway budget and also the abnormal hike in prices of lpg and kerosene.the protestors were led by the aiyf city president g gangadhar reddy and secretary g v rama raju. the aiyf leaders raised slogans against the central government’s “anti-people policies� and demanded withdrawal of the hike.
