Agriculture courses for Telangana youths launched

Hyderabad: In a first of its kind in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the National Institute of

Agriculture

Extension Management (MANAGE), has launched diploma courses for input dealers, rural youth and agriculture students to expertise in providing expert advice and services to farmers.

The courses were designed with help from Punjab Agricultural Institute, Ludhiana. “One

course

aims to promote the establishment of Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centres (ACABC). These centres will provide expert advice and services to farmers to enhance productivity of crops/animals,” said Jabir Ali, director, centre for knowledge management, MANAGE.

The initiatives will be implemented with the help of the ministry of agriculture and farmers welfare at the state-level through State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) and through Agriculture Technology Management Agency at the district level, MANAGE faculty said.
