Hyderabad: The railway police on Saturday took 45 persons, who were recently arrested for allegedly setting ablaze trains at Secunderabad Railway Station in protest against Agnipath scheme, into custody after obtaining the court’s consent
Cops said that the court granted them two-day custodial interrogation of the accused. The police will interrogate the accused to know how the plan was executed.
Earlier, the railway police had alleged that the protesters were instigated by organisers of a few coaching centres to stage the protest. Officials said that since they could not question the protesters in detail at the time of arrest, they wanted to interrogate them again. Police had already arrested the key accused, Subba Rao, who is the owner of a coaching centre.
