Actor injured, truck driver killed in Outer Ring Road accidents

HYDERABAD: A truck driver died and two others, including Tollywood actor Khayyum, suffered injuries in separate road accidents in the city on Wednesday.
The first incident happened at 5.45 am near Kokapet on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) when a sand-laden truck rammed into the rear side of another truck at a high speed. The chassis of the second truck was completely damaged in the incident and the driver, Naveen Kumar, 21, from Tangedipally in Nalgonda district, died on the spot.
In another incident, Tollywood comedian Ali's brother and actor Mohammed Khayyum Ali suffered minor injuries along with his friend when their Scorpio was hit by a tipper coming in the opposite direction on the ORR service road at Koheda.
When the incident happened, Khayyum and his friend were going to Ramoji Film City (RFC). Both the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and, after first aid they were discharged. No case was registered, Hayatnagar inspector G Srinivas Kumar said.
