sleuths registered a case against a sub-registrar, who is currently under suspension, after unearthing 1.87 crore worth assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused official,

Mir Arshad Ali

, is former sub-registrar of

Rajendranagar

. In October 2021, ACB sleuths arrested him for demanding and accepting 5 lakh bribe from the complainant.
After the arrest, Arshad Ali has been suspended and during the subsequent searches conducted at his house and other places, ACB sleuths unearthed 1.87 crore worth disproportionate assets including 1 lakh cash, 1.28 crore worth immovable assets, 328 gm gold, two cars worth 24 lakh, 21 lakh bank balance, 5.6 lakh worth two-wheelers and 1.36 lakh worth household articles.
