Hyderabad: Three Kannada inscriptions from the Kalyana Chalukya era were noticed for the first time in Kankal village in the Pudur mandal of Vikarabad district.
Archaeologist Dr E Sivanagireddy and Kotha Telangana Charitra Brundam convenor Sriramoju Haragopal examined the inscriptions and established their historical significance.
Based on information provided by a local teacher, Sampathkumar, Dr Sivanagireddy conducted a preliminary investigation. Following this, Haragopal visited the site on Sunday, deciphered the inscriptions, and confirmed that they date back to the 4th, 5th, and 6th regal years of Emperor Someswara-III Bhulokamalladeva of the Kalyana Chalukya dynasty.
