Hyderabad: Union minister G Kishan Reddy on Thursday said that Prime Minister
Narendra Modi will launch development programmes worth approximately 7,823 crore during his visit to the state on May 10.
He said that some of the projects will be dedicated to the people of Telangana during Modi's first visit to Hyderabad after assuming office as PM for the third time.
"The central govt is prioritising the development of national highways in Telangana. Several projects are already under way, and efforts will be made to secure approval for more projects in an upcoming meeting in Delhi," said Kishan, while addressing a press conference at BJP's state office in the city.
He added that projects worth approximately 85,000 crore are underway in Telangana in the railway sector.
"The significant increase in vote percentage across the state, and the strengthening of the BJP from village to district level, is a clear testament to the people's confidence in Modi's leadership. Post-elections, the BJP has grown stronger in Telangana. Approximately 4 million new members have joined the party," he added.
