HYDERABAD: Chandanagar police arrested five drug smugglers, including a student, and seized nine sachets of MDMA and 800grams ganja from them on Sunday night. A case was registered under NDPS Act.
A police team went to Adarshnagar bus stop in Serilingampally and picked up Mohammed Syed, 30, worker from Thane in Maharashtra, Subham Santhosh Mane, 21, a private firm employee from Mumbai, P Venkatesh, 25, a student from AG Colony in SR Nagar, Abdul Feroz, 26, a private firm employee from Tolichowki, and Mohammed Saif, 26, bank staff from Tolichowki.
Accused confessed to have got MDMA from Sammy of Mumbai at 2,000 a sachet. “They were selling sachets at 4,000 each,” police said. Contraband and cellphones were worth 38,000.
