600 litres of adulterated milk seized

adulteration racket involving supply of milk to hotels and tea stalls in

Bibinagar

was busted by the Special Operations Team (SOT) of Rachakonda on Friday and 600 litres of

adulterated milk

was

seized

. Seven people were arrested.


Sleuths raided a place at Mudiraj Nagar Colony when the accused were removing fat from milk and were mixing milk powder and detergent powder to make it dense. B Shekhar Reddy, R Pullaiah, P Narender, R Ramesh, B Kumar, A Rajgopal Reddy and P Raju of Bibinagar were taken into custody. "The accused have been selling the adulterated milk to hotels and tea stalls. They were administering the banned Oxytocin injections to buffaloes to get excess yield," SOT inspector Naveen Kumar said.

Packets of milk powder, one packet detergent, a bottle of Oxytocin injection, two milk churning machines, and 18,260 were recovered.
