6 sentenced to life for murder

GUNTUR: Six persons accused in a murder case were convicted to life imprisonment by the I Additional District Sessions Judge M Radhakumari here on Thursday.
Komarathori Singa Rao, Pidathala Venkata Rathnam, Pidathala Pedavenkateswarlu, Pidathala Balasowri, Pidathala Devadanam, Tummatoti Joshi, Gorla Ramarao were convicted for murdering Jalalpuram sarpanch Pidathala Ankarao in Vinukonda mandal in 1997, public prosecutor Chowdary Rao said.
One of the accused, Balasowri, died due to illhealth during the trial period. After examining the evidences, the judge convicted all the six accused to life imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 5,000 on them.
