HYDERABAD: Six people, including a woman and her one-year-old son, died in separate road accidents in the city on Wednesday.
In the first incident, Mohd Sajad, a private employee and resident of Shah Ali Banda, his wife Hasna Begum, 21, and their one-year-old son, Syed Mohammad Hussain, were going to their relative's house in Balanagar on a two-wheeler when an RTC bus hit their vehicle from the rear at Ferozguda at around 5 pm, Balanagar inspector Y Venkat Reddy told TOI.

As a result, Mohd Sajad, who was driving the two-wheeler, lost control over the vehicle and the trio fell on the road. The woman and the child came under the wheels of the RTC bus and died on the spot. Sajad escaped with minor injuries. The driver fled after the incident, the inspector added.
In the second incident, four workers died when a tractor carrying cement electrical poles overturned in Gungal village under the Yacharam police station limits at around 3.45 pm.
According to Yacharam inspector B Srinivas Rao, the tractor was transporting electrical poles from Yacharam sub-station to Vinobha Nagar in Ibrahimpatnam. The driver lost control due to overspeeding, resulting in the tractor overturning. The workers who sat on the poles were crushed under them. As a result, Rami Reddy, 27, T Kishan, 28 and Ch Bavaiah, 56 died on the spot while Ravindra, 28 died, succumbed at Osmania Hospital. Driver Ramesh escaped with minor injuries.
A case was registered under 304-A (Causing death by negligence) and 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) against the driver, the inspector added.
