GUNTUR: Perhaps for the first time, the district police have unearthed a new angle behind the crimes in the state as they came out with a stunning fact about the involvement of Bihari sharpshooters striking deals to commit crimes. In the latest case, the police found the role of at least six Bihari men who had migrated to the state for employment but decided to murder a person on `supari.'
According to SP D S Chauhan, the Bihari youth played a key role in killing the Congress leader Palapati Satyanarayana at the government guest house in Guntur after striking a deal with Mallela Satyanarana of Chilakaluripet.

He said that six Biharis, all working as security guards with a private firm in Hyderabad, agreed to kill Palapati on payment of Rs 10 lakh.
While chief conspirator Mallela arranged additional money to purchase the weapons, the sharpshooters went to Etawa in UP and bought some pistols and revolvers along with live bullets. The SP said Mallela's son Rajesh Naidu and close-aide Kode Ramabramham, advocate Shaik Galib hatched the murder plan in May, while the Bihari shooters carried out the mission last fortnight.
Chauhan said one Harivilas Yadav, who was the personal gunman of Rajesh Naidu, roped in other Biharis to execute the murder plot. Police on Tuesday arrested Ajith Kumar Wadi, Krishnakumar Singh, Abhishek Kumar Mishra, Lalbahadur Tiwari (all from Bihar), while Vidya Bhushan Rai and Harivilas Yadav are on the run.
The SP said of the 13 accused in the case, eight persons have been arrested. Police recovered three pistols, two revolvers, one loader, 85 bullets from the possession of the accused.
