5 peddlers arrested, 2.5kg hash oil seized in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Sleuths of Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) on Saturday arrested five persons for trading in hashish oil and seized 2.5kg of hashish oil. Deputy commissioner of police, H-NEW, G Chakravarthy said they have identified the five sub-peddlers and 11 consumers, among whom are doctors and software professionals.
Among the arrested were G Bandu and K Chander Rao belonging to Visakhapatnam Agency area, who are key persons in supplying hashish oil to city peddlers.The other arrested accused are: E Santosh Reddy, N Sai Bharath and V Hari Teja, who are into smuggling the contraband. Suppliers were nabbed when they were delivering it to Santosh.
A resident of Karmanghat, Santosh developed contacts with manufactures in Visakhapatnam Agency. "He buys the oil paying 80,000 per litre. Then, makes 200 small bottles of 5ml each and sells them through sub-peddlers charging 2,000 per 5ml," a cop said.
