One of the complainants, Vishwanadham Keshetti, a resident of Jeedimetla, had filed a consumer case against Boodati Laxminarayana of Sahiti Infratec Ventures for cheating. In their pre-launch offer, the company had offered to sell a yet-to-be-constructed flat for 48 lakh to him.

The complainant agreed and paid full amount as per the agreement dated April 28, 2021.

However, despite several attempts to enquire about the project's progress, the company remained unresponsive and failed to initiate any refunds. The construction of the high-rise apartment complex was supposed to be completed within 36 months, with a grace period of 6 months from the date of the final project approval.

The commission said Sahiti Infratec failed to produce any evidence of progress of the project, leading to an order for refund of entire amount with 9% interest.

The company was also directed to pay a compensation of 50,000 and costs of 5,000.
