HYDERABAD: One more interstate fake certificates racket involving

SRK University

of Bhopal was busted by

Task Force

cops on Monday. Seven persons, including a city-based education consultant and six persons, were arrested. So far, cops have busted four gangs involved in the racket.

, owner of VS Global Educational Services in Chaderghat, for procuring various degree certificates in collusion with SRK University faculty members, E Vijay Kumar from AP and Ketan Singh.

Police said that Swamy collected money from about 50 people to provide them SRK University degree certificates and had dispatched it to 19 buyers.

Cops managed to locate and arrest six — K Sai Gowtham (23) of Kurnool bought BE (mechanical) certificate; Ch Ritesh Reddy (25) of Vanasthalipuram (BTech IT); B Venkata Sai Suma Rohit (26) bought BTech (CSE); Manna Wilfred (25) of Vikarabad purchased BE (mechanical); K Surya Teja (26) of Madhapur bought BSc (

PCM

); and T Sai Teja (26) bought BCom (computers).

Veeranna Swamy collected details of college dropouts and students with backlogs from various colleges and struck deals with them to provide SRK University degree certificates for Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh, inspector K Nageswar Rao said.

The accused were handed over to Chaderghat police for further probe.
