HYDERABAD: Digital classrooms were launched in 3,354 government-run schools in Telangana on Wednesday by deputy chief minister and education minister Kadiyam Srihari and Information Technology minister K Taraka Rama Rao. The ministers initiated the programme at a government school in Banjara Hills.
The digital classrooms will provide students with content through screen projection systems, read a release issued by the government.
The highlights of the launch included provision of hard disks, projectors and antennas, besides using means like YouTube and Mana TV to conduct classroom training sessions for a larger audience. “Telangana government will use ICT (Information and Communications Technology) and modern technologies to augment classroom teaching in government-run schools,” said Srihari during the launch. The government aims to cover more schools in the future.
