HYDERABAD: Malkajgiri police have arrested three persons who committed two murders in Moula Ali and Kushaiguda in the past few months and recovered stolen silver articles and cellphone from their possession.
Police arrested O Ravi, A Venkatesh and V Chinna Sailu from Kushaiguda. The trio used to do petty jobs for a living. On February 24 night, Ravi and Venkatesh barged into the house of P Laxmamma, 50, a daily-wager from Moula Ali, when she was alone and stabbed her to death.

Later, they stole her silver jewellery weighing about 60 tolas.
Subsequently on May 10 night, Ravi, Venkatesh and Sailu killed one Robert Lewis, 42, whom they met near a wine shop at Kushaiguda by strangling him with a rope at an isolated area at Aga Hills in Malkajgiri and stole his cell phone and Rs 4,500 cash.
Acting on a tip-off, Malkajgiri police nabbed the trio from their houses on Wednesday and recovered 10 tolas of silver along with a cell phone.
