3 held for forging K Chandrasekhar Rao’s sign to usurp 2.2 acre land

HYDERABAD: Three persons, who created a fake Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party letterhead and forged the signature of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, were arrested by the Cyberabad police on Saturday. The accused gave these letterheads to officials of Ranga Reddy district collectorate to mutate a piece of land in Gachibowli in favour of prime accused Mohammed Osman Qureshi.

) A Venkateshwar Rao said that the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Rajendra Nagar, lodged a complaint with the Raidurgam police on Wednesday, claiming that one Qureshi created forged letterheads in the name of the chief minister, directing the collectorate to mutate 2.20 acre of land.

This letterhead reached the RDO on Wednesday and he found out that it was fake after he cross checked with the Chief Minister’s Office and TRS partymen. On Friday, police nabbed three persons — Qureshi, Syed Rashid Hussain and B Amarender — while their accomplice Baba Khan is absconding.

Osman entered into a false agreement with one Rafia Sultana of Golconda. Osman approached Hussain for mutation of land and Hussain in turn gave 10 fake letterheads with KCR’s signatures on it. On this letterhead, Osman, with the help of Amarender got the content addressing the Ranga Reddy collector.

Police seized fabricated documents and booked the four accused under Sections 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery) and 471 (using a forged document) of the

Indian Penal Code

(IPC).
