Hyderabad: For the first time in the city, three persons were arrested for using a drone camera to capture visuals of a wedding at a function hall in Pet Basheerabad. Usage of drone cameras has been banned in the city.
The arrested were identified as K Roop Kumar, 30, drone camera operator from Shanti Nagar in Kukatpally, his associate B Yugandhar, 34, of Dilsukhnagar, and R Krishnakanth Reddy, 31, manager of the function hall.
According to Pet Basheerabad sub-inspector Srinath, Roop Kumar and Yugandhar used the drone camera to record the visuals of a wedding organised at Venkateswara Gardens function hall in Ramraj Nagar, Pet Basheerabad, on Tuesday afternoon. "Usage of drone cameras has been prohibited in the Cyberabad commissionerate. So, we arrested the drone camera operators as well as the function hall manager for knowingly letting them operate a drone," the SI said.
The accused were booked under section 188 (disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the IPC and were produced before the court.
