WARANGAL: A minor panic prevailed at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College (TSRDC) for women at Rangashaipet in Warangal on Friday with 26 students taking ill. However, the medical team that reached the hostel said the symptoms of cold, cough and fever were primarily due to weather change.
The students have been admitted for observation at the MGM Hospital in Warangal.
Hospital superintendent Dr V Chandrasekhar said the students were suffering from
viral fever and they were stable.
"We have collected blood samples and sent them for dengue and typhoid tests. Based on their test reports, we will discharge the students from the hospital," Dr Chandrasekhar said.
The staff informed parents that they were all stable and admitted to hospital.
