2 killed, 1 injured as truck rams bike

Hyderabad: Two teenagers were killed, and another was injured when a container truck rammed into the bike they were triple riding at Shabad on Monday. The deceased were identified as Ajay (19) and Uday Kiran (19), both labourers from Haitabad village in Shabad. The injured was identified as Azan. According to police, at 6 pm on Sunday, the trio, all friends, went to Chevella from Haitabad on a bike they had borrowed from a friend. The accident occurred while they were returning home on Monday.
When they reached Nagarguda crossroads in Shabad at 12.30 am, a container truck rammed their bike from behind. "Ajay was riding the bike, while Uday and Azan were riding pillion. Ajay and Uday died on the spot due to severe injuries. Azan sustained a leg fracture and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. A local called me from my son's mobile and alerted us about the incident," Uday Kiran's father, Raju, told the police.Based on a complaint, the Shabad police booked a case under section 106 (1) of the BNS against the truck driver. The vehicle was seized, and the driver was taken into custody. The bodies were handed over to their families.
