A 13-year-old boy, who used to work as a domestic help, allegedly stole gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 3.75 lakh from his ex-employer's house.

HYDERABAD: A 13-year-old boy, who used to work as a domestic help, allegedly stole gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 3.75 lakh from his ex-employer's house in Saidabad on Wednesday. Police nabbed him and recovered the stolen property on Friday.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, east zone DCP K V R N Reddy said V Venkat Rao, a native of Nalgonda district, used to work in the house of J Rami Reddy, an agriculturist and a resident of IS Sadan in Saidabad.

Venkat Rao was removed from the job as he used to go to his native place frequently.
On Wednesday, Rami Reddy and his family members went to attend a function at Medchal. Venkat Rao, coming to know of this, gained entry into the house through the window. He stole gold ornaments weighing about 60 tolas and Rs 14,500 cash, the DCP said.
