Thieves steal cash from temple

BIJAPUR: Thieves burgled a temple at Devar Hipparagi village in Sindagi taluk sometime between Friday and Saturday.
They broke the lock to enter Mallaiah temple and stole Rs 18,000 cash from the donation box. Mahadevappa Mallappa Jadagond lodged a complaint at Devar Hipparagi police station.
Young woman commits suicide
A young woman committed suicide by consuming pesticide on Friday at Sarur tanda village in Muddebihal taluk.The deceased was identified as Neelabai Narayan Jadhav (18). She was suffering from stomach pain for four to five years. Treatment at the district hospital did not alleviate her pain, after which she took the extreme step.
Her mother, Sushilabai Narayan Jadhav, lodged a complaint at Muddebihal police station.
