Temple hundi stolen

DAVANAGERE: Thieves struck Anjaneya temple in Kalkere village, Chitradurga taluk, on Monday night and made away with the hundi containing Rs 20,000. The incident came to light on Tuesday when Venkatesh, the priest, reached the temple to perform puja.

Biker killed: A man was killed when his bike was hit by a tractor at Holalkere Road in Chitradurga town on Tuesday. Krishnappa, 50, who was attached to Chitradurga Municipal Council, was going home for lunch when the accident took place.
