HOSADURGA: Hosadurga civic chief H B Manjunath appealed to all shop owners on the main road in the town to co-operate for road widening as well as for construction of drainage on either side on Friday. The civic chief said that already the tender for the construction of drainage at a cost of Rs 1 crore, has been accepted. The construction works will start in a day or two.
Manjunath and Vijaya Sivalingappa, vice-president informed that the government had taken up widening of the state highway No 47 (to 70 feet, 35 feet on either side) that passes through the town.

Many shop owners have voluntarily retroceded by 35 feet. The civic representatives and the civic commissioner have urged others to do so and cooperate with the civic body in the meeting convened on Wednesday.
