Reality show contestant dies in accident in Karnataka

Karwar: A popular face from the reality show ‘Halli Haida Pyateg Banda' Season 3 lost his life in a road accident on Tuesday. The incident took place on the national highway near Kolikere in Yellapur taluk, when a speeding motorcycle collided with a KSRTC bus coming from the Hubballi side. The rider, Bavatis Ghadi (Siddi) from Garadolli village in the Haliyal taluk, died on the spot.According to police, Bavatis was riding his two-wheeler from Yellapur to Haliyal. As he approached Kolikere, the bike rammed into the oncoming bus at high speed. The front portion of the two-wheeler caught fire immediately, leaving it completely charred.Bavatis, who overcame many hardships in life, was well-known at his village for his simple nature and deep passion for dance. He gained recognition after participating in the reality show, where he secured third place and won many hearts.Locals in Garadolli are still in shock. "He was quietly building a life despite all the difficulties," said villagers. The pain is even deeper for his family. His wife passed away due to illness three years ago, while his son died two years later, by falling into a well. With Bavatis's sudden death, another heavy blow has struck the grieving family, leaving the entire village wrapped in sorrow.Police have registered a case at the Yellapur town police station, and are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
