HUBLI: Gokul Road police on Friday arrested a man for "allegedly" transporting LPG cylinders, and recovered 20 domestic and 10 commercial cylinders worth Rs 1.12 lakh from him.
Gokul Road police sub-inspector Suresh Yellur said they arrested the accused, identified as Chandrashekar Natekar (19), while he tried to transport and sell the cylinders belonging to Harivan Gas Agency on Gokul Road.
A case has been registered.
In another raid, Ghantikeri police recovered six each of domestic and commercial cylinders along with a refilling machine at Garden Pet here.
The police said the accused Mehaboob Raibagh (21) and Nagaraj Jadhav (24) used to transfer the gas (using the refilling machine) from domestic cylinders to commercial ones before selling them for a higher price. Ghantikeri police have registered a case.
